The Tunisian Stevedoring and Handling Company STAM is a public limited company established on February 16th, 1961 with a registered capital of 200,000 Dinars currently brought up to 50.000.000 Dinars. STAM is operating in all commercial seaports in Tunisia through its agencies network:
Bizerte-Rades-Goulette-Sousse-Sfax-Gabes-Zarzis.

STAM assumes the function of a stevedoring contractor and in the capacity of container terminal concession holder and manager at the Port of Rades, while it provides all stevedoring and handling activities at the Port of la Goulette. At the ports of Bizerte, Sousse, Sfax, Gabes and Zarzis, it operates alongside groups of private stevedoring contractors as a part of concession.
STAM ensures the handling of 69% of the total tonnage of cargo passing through commercial seaports in Tunisia.
STAM has endeavoured to implement reforms designed as part of the reorganization of seaport activity that has led to an improved performance and enhanced efficiency of stevedoring and freight handling operations.
